Dmitry Peskov, Vladimir Putin’s spokesman, claims in an interview with Russian media that the fate of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is “sealed” and the Ukrainian army is in panic.

The statements of the Kremlin spokesman were picked up by the Ukrainian media. Peskov says Ukrainians will question the legitimacy of their president.

“It seems to me that Zelensky’s fate is definitely sealed. And very soon there will come a time when many people, including in Ukraine, will question its legitimacy. In any case, even from a legal point of view, this will happen, and it will have to be justified somehow. But for us, the objective is to continue the special military operation [războiul împotriva Ucrainei]to protect ourselves and fulfill the tasks that were originally set,” Peskov said.

The Kremlin spokesman said “panic is growing on the Ukrainian side on the front line”, claiming to have “first-hand information”.

“It’s very important for us to keep the momentum going and not stop,” he said.

Peskov also claimed that “the other side,” which he described as “the collective West plus one,” would test Russia. “The main thing for us is not to show any ‘weakness’,” he added.
