The Russians broke through Ukrainian defenses on Saturday, April 27, in the Kupiansk sector near Kislivka and captured the village, the American Institute for the Study of War (ISW) reports, citing Russian military bloggers.
They said Russian troops had advanced to a depth of 1.85 kilometers along the railway line that passes through Kislivka.
The Russian advance into Kislivka was also recorded by the Ukrainian intelligence source DeepState, which updated its interactive maps on Sunday, April 27 at around 01:00.
A Russian source stated that Russian forces captured neighboring Ukrainian units in Kotliarivka (northwest of Svatove and southwest of Kislivka). However, ISW has yet to find visual evidence to support these claims. ISW says fighting continues northwest of Svatove in the area of Berestove, Kislivka and Stelmahivka.

According to the spokesman, Russian forces have concentrated four brigades in this direction. The Ukrainians are sending reserves and taking steps to stabilize the situation in the direction of Avdiivka and restore control over Oceretine, he added.
