“It is not too late for Ukraine to win” in the war against Russia, provided that the West keeps its promises to supply it with more weapons, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said on Thursday, AFP reports, Agerpres transmits.

“In recent months, NATO allies have not provided the support” they promised, lamented Jens Stoltenberg, in a speech delivered at an awards ceremony in Berlin on the topic of transatlantic ties.

“But it is not too late for Ukraine to win the war, because stronger support is on the way,” added the Secretary General of the Alliance.

“Now it is our responsibility to turn the (recent Western, ed.) commitments into actual deliveries of arms and ammunition and to do so quickly,” he said.

Last Friday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky asked NATO to deliver weapons as soon as possible to Ukraine, which “cannot wait any longer” in the face of Russian pressure. The allies promised to increase their support.
