Unregistered ATV, driven by a drunk man, pursued in traffic by the police

During last evening, May 5, 2024, at around 10:00 p.m., the police officers from Section No. 1 Rural Police Miercurea Ciuc-Sândominic and Tomești Police Stations, while they were in the exercise of their duties, issued a regulatory signal of stopping an ATV type vehicle, which was traveling on DJ 124/A, in Frumoasa commune.

The driver of the vehicle in question did not comply with the policemen’s signals and continued his journey, with the policemen following him, for approximately 2 kilometers, being stopped between Frumoasa and Mihăileni localities.

The driver of the ATV, a 34-year-old man from Frumoasa, was under the influence of alcohol, the test with the breathalyzer indicated a value of 0.63mg./l of pure alcohol in the exhaled air, and the vehicle driven by him appears as unregistered in Police databases.“, IPJ Harghita transmitted.

According to the cited source, the man was fined 825 lei, for disobeying the policeman’s instructions. Also, the police have drawn up a criminal file under the aspect of committing the crime of driving an unregistered vehicle and driving a vehicle under the influence of alcohol.
