Belarusian security forces prevented drone attacks from Lithuanian territory against targets in Minsk. This was stated by the head of the Belarusian KGB, Ivan Tertel.

“The State Security Committee, in cooperation with colleagues from other law enforcement agencies, recently carried out a series of acute security measures that made it possible to prevent attacks by combat drones from the territory of Lithuania on targets in Minsk and its suburbs his”, declared Tertel.

According to him, the security forces continue to work in this area, but “it is not yet possible to reveal detailed information to the public”.

Until now, Lithuania has not come up with a reaction to the accusations launched by Belarus.

President Alexander Lukashenko claimed on Thursday that the opposition in Belarus intends to conquer a district in the west of the country and ask NATO to deploy troops, reports the Russian news agency RIA.

Alexander Lukashenko also claimed on Thursday that “dozens” of Russian tactical nuclear weapons had been deployed in Belarus, according to the agreement with Vladimir Putin last year.
