Abby and Brittany Hensel, conjoined twins from the USA, who became famous all over the world after having their own reality show on TLC – “Abby & Brittany”, have expanded their family after one of them got married.
Abby and Brittany first gained attention after appearing on “The Oprah Winfrey Show” in 1996. Since then, their fame has grown year by year.
Now, the sisters have achieved a major milestone in each person’s life: Abby got married. According to Today.com, the marriage was finalized in 2021, but only now has the information been made public.
Abby, 34, who is a teacher, married Josh Bowling, a nurse and US Army veteran. Apparently, the sisters have now shared photos from the wedding on social media. The couple lives in Minnesota, where the Hensel sisters were born and raised.
Both sisters are middle school teachers in Minnesota.
According to pictures and videos on Bowling’s Facebook page, the family enjoys nature hikes and experiences normal for any couple. Contacted by Today.com, Abby declined to comment.
Abby and Brittany are conjoined twins, sharing their bloodstream and all their organs from the waist down. Abby controls the right arm and leg while Brittany controls the left.
When Abby and Brittany were born in 1990, their parents, Patty and Mike Hensel, decided not to have surgery to separate them because the procedure was considered too risky. At the time, doctors said there was little chance that either would survive the operation.
In an interview they gave when the two sisters were 16, they said they wanted to become mothers one day: “We haven’t figured out how that’s going to work yet, but we’re only 16.”
