AUR leader George Simion declared during the election show Lupta pentru Romania from Realitatea TV that he tested several members of the party who are running for local elections with his lie detector.

He claims that the method is effective because that way he realizes which colleagues can be “a gangrene that affects the whole party”. At the same time, he confirmed that he asked Gigi Becali for 500,000 euros for the electoral campaign and that the landowner accepted.

“I tested the local elected officials. Some failed the lie detector, got angry, tried to riot in the party. We will give this test with the lie detector that I have seen to be quite effective – it amazes me too – to all the AUR dignitaries. We had syncope in 2020, when we were inexperienced. Now we cut quickly when we see the slightest sign of gangrene so as not to infect the whole party.

We share the fight for the traditional family, the fight for Romanian values ​​and I am sure that Mihai Neamtu made this call to Gigi Becali because this is how electoral campaigns are done in Romania: the candidates finance their campaigns, that’s what the law says.

It is very good and Mr. Becali is right. We are also blowing the whistle because the whole system is watching us and is trying to find us good, bad, to find escapes and to get us out of this electoral race. I didn’t negotiate anything. I am glad that we will also have this support”, George Simion also declared.

But, although he claims that by testing with the lie detector he expels the dishonest from the party, Simion happily welcomes former members of the parties in the system, especially PSD and PNL, even if they have known problems of corruption and other violations of the law, as the AUR resigners accuse him.
