Prime Road Power Public Company Limited is set to mark a significant milestone in its renewable energy endeavors as it prepares for the commercial operation date (COD) of a pioneering aquacultural solar project in Tainan City, Taiwan. Mr. Somprasong Panjalak, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Prime Road Power, unveiled plans for He Wu Company Limited, a subsidiary within the PRIME business group, to kick off operations of a 2.0-megawatt solar project within May 2024.
This innovative project is poised to generate substantial income for PRIME, amounting to approximately THB 11.0 million per year. Designed to optimize benefits within confined spaces, the aquacultural solar venture reflects PRIME’s commitment to sustainable development. Leveraging its expertise, PRIME has strategically invested in, constructed, and installed solar energy infrastructure on existing fishing land, ensuring minimal disruption to traditional fishing activities. Moreover, the project serves as a catalyst for the preservation and enhancement of the area, aligning with Taiwan’s energy objectives.
Miss Chitreeya Panyadee, Senior Manager of the Business Development and Portfolio Management Department at PRIME, emphasized the broader scope of the company’s solar initiatives in Taiwan. In addition to the aforementioned aquacultural solar project, PRIME is poised to launch five additional solar projects with a combined capacity of 19.8 megawatts in the second quarter of the year. This expansion underscores PRIME’s commitment to driving sustainable energy solutions and contributing to Taiwan’s renewable energy targets.
