Road accident on the A1 highway, in the area of Cristian, on the direction Sibiu – Sebeș. Three people were injured after a car collided with a truck. Traffic on the A1 is difficult.
“From the first investigations carried out, it emerged that, while driving a car on lane 2, a 56-year-old man from Alba county lost control of the direction of travel, collided with a tractor unit driven on lane 1 by a 50-year-old man from Cluj county, after which he was projected into the marginal parapet”, says Elena Welter, IPJ Sibiu spokesperson.
Two SMURD crews intervened on the scene, one with a doctor, an extrication truck, a fire extinguisher and a truck for personal transport and multiple victims, and a SAJ crew with a doctor.
“The extrication crew acted to extract a person from a car. This was handed over to medical crews. Three people, two men aged 56 and 81 respectively and a woman aged 75 received medical attention on the spot. SMURD crews took over the two men who suffered various injuries. They were transported to UPU Sibiu, conscious. The woman was taken over by the SAJ crew,” declared Slt. Andreea Ștefan, ISU Sibiu spokesperson.
Traffic is difficult in the area, on lane 2.
