The leader of AUR, George Simion, was taken over by Antena 3, with the speech from the official launch event of the electoral campaign for the June 9 elections. He was cut off immediately after talking about the televisions of the “moguls”, at the same time pointing out the owner of the Antennas, Dan Voiculescu, that he stole the security money through the Crescent group.

“If it was according to some of the media what you see here, they would say that it is an invention and that we are holograms. These are the televisions of the benevolent moguls. Some people came to me to try to tell me to take it easy because I’ve grown up a bit. I asked them “who are you?” and they answered me that they were the masters of the world. Stop being the masters of the world, because we Romanians have not forgotten our ancestors! The spirits of Vlad Țepeș, Michael the Brave, Stephen the Great and Saint and Mircea the Elder still live deep within us, and give us the strength to fight for justice in our country! We are many, united and strong. And we have the youngest and most capable team here. We have a man that the people of Bucharest will vote for. We have Mihai Enache, the GOLD man for Bucharest. Who should the citizens of Bucharest vote for? On Burduja who stole the money from Bancorex? To vote with Dan Voiculescu who stole the security money through Crescent? To vote for PUSL, which uses the televised political stick to influence the electorate? Not! It’s time for a new political class,” said Simion, after which he was immediately cut from the show.

According to information published in the press, the Crescent group of companies, closely linked to the operations of the Security in the 80s, is at the foundation of Dan Voiculescu’s political-financial empire. A large part of the exports of the Socialist Republic of Romania took place through these companies before 1989.

In the criminal case in which he was sentenced to ten years in prison for money laundering, the head of Antenelor, Dan Voiculescu, stated that Crescent’s owner was a Greek citizen of Lebanese origin, Fouad Sanbar, whom he had known since 1981 and with whom he collaborated, before the revolution, in the development of some Romanian exports. Dan Voiculescu became, in 1984, the director of the Romanian branch of Crescent Commercial & Maritime Ltd. After the revolution, relations between Crescent and Dan Voiculescu developed rapidly: practically, in all the companies founded by Dan Voiculescu in the early 90s, the figure as a shareholder and the Crescent company.

Dan Voiculescu is behind the PUSL party, which has Cristian Popescu Piedone as its candidate for the Capital City Hall, although according to information from the party, Piedone would have been asked to withdraw his candidacy in favor of the social democrat Gabriela Firea, known being the fact that the patron of Antennas gravitates around PSD.
