Livia Dragomir, Roberta’s mother, was asked by judge Ancuța Popoviciu “what consequences she had, following the accident”. “Let your child go to sea and die, remember her last words, “bye, mommy, see you on Monday!” and know that Monday will never come again. How do you think I feel?”, said Roberta’s mother, without judgment.
The woman confessed that she learned about her daughter’s death on the phone from her sister, and since then she is afraid whenever the phone rings.
Another question from the judge followed, which stunned those in the courtroom: “Did you go to her funeral?”
“I was, she’s my child, but I couldn’t see her then, the coffin was sealed. She was so crushed in the accident that she couldn’t even get dressed. The last time I saw my girl was when she left home,” continued Livia Dragomir.

More details about Vlad Pascu’s trial, where Roberta Dragomir’s parents, Sebi Olariu’s parents, Roberta’s grandmother and a relative of the Olariu family, as well as Cristina and Alex, injured in the road accident near May 2, gave statements in court.
On the night of August 19, 2023, at 5:20 a.m., Vlad Pascu, under the influence of drugs and driving a convertible Mercedes, drove at over 100 km/h into a group of young people who were walking on the side of the road that connects Vama Veche of May 2.
As a result of the impact, three young people were injured and two died. Roberta Dragomir was 20 years old, and Sebastian Olariu, 21 years old. Both were students at the Faculty of Geography in Bucharest.
Vlad Pascu was sent to court by the Prosecutor’s Office attached to the Mangalia Court, under the charges of manslaughter, culpable bodily harm, driving a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or other substances and leaving the scene of the accident.
