Firefighters from ISU Mehedinți intervened, on Thursday, at an accident in Drobeta-Turnu Severin. Two cars collided. The event happened at the intersection of Mareșal Averescu and George Coșbuc streets in the city. One person ended up in hospital.
“A little while ago, the firefighters from Mehedin were requested to intervene in a road accident between two cars, in the municipality of Drobeta Turnu Severin, at the intersection of Mareșal Averescu and George Coșbuc streets. At the scene of the event, a special fire truck equipped with the first aid mode, as well as a SAJ crew, was urgently mobilized”said the firefighters from ISU Mehedinți.
A firefighter from ISU Mehedinți, in his free time, saw the accident and jumped to help. He checked if the victim was okay.
“Until rescuers arrived, our colleague, plt. adj. Tănasie Horațiu, in his free time, immediately jumped to help the drivers. He checked the condition of the victim and disconnected the terminals of a car. Following the accident, there was a victim, conscious and cooperative, who was transported to the hospital by the SAJ crew”say the firefighters from Mehedin.
Law enforcement officers ensured fire protection measures at the scene.
