The tournament organized by Atletico Arad, in partnership with the Sfinx Football agency, with the support of Danone Romania, ended, the other day, with excellent results for the children from the host club: two generations were victorious and one finished the race in second place.

The 2011 generation ended the group without conceding a goal: 4-0 against CSM Lugoj, 9-0 against DIDI Junior Iași, 0-0 against Viitorul Arad and 10-0 against Juventus Oradea. In the semi-finals, Mihai Roșca and Remus Lung’s boys beat UTA 1-0, and in the last act they defeated LPS Banatul Timișoara on penalty kicks, after the score was 2-2 in regulation time.

The trophy for the best player in the category was awarded by Darius Popa, Andrei Burchardt won the top scorer title, while Laurentiu Selejan was included in the “Team of the Tournament”.

The following also received diplomas: Luca Madoș, Andrei Barta, Casian Rozniciuc, Denis Buzea, Luca Funău, Ianis Baltag and Ștefan Roman. The complete Aradean team brought together, in addition to those mentioned, Rareș Giurgiu, Vittorio Gallizioli, Carol Bîtea, Ștefan Roman, Andrei Borlan, Tudor Miheț, Ianis Mihăieș and Sanders Fricățel.

The 2012 generation took the silver medal. Group stage: 1-2 with Electrica Timișoara, 2-0 with Dasschool Chișinău, 3-0 with CSS Sighișoara and 2-0 with CSM Reșita. In the semi-final it was 4-0 against U Evolution Cluj, then the final meant the second meeting with the Timișoara from Electrica. Those from the Begăi bank prevailed in the penalty shootout, after 0-0 at the end of regular time. Andrei Țone, Andrei Oprean – David Secianschi, Adrian Pop, Claudiu Oniga, Luca Burcă, Yanis Iamandii, Matei Gorea, Luca Muraru (Player of the Tournament, also included in the best team of the category), Abel Ojog, Dominick Beserman, Tudor Lăzărescu, Stanislav Fricătel, Yona Stan, Ruben Frațilă (The best player of the team), Adam Mihăiță and Mihai Oprea (part of the Tournament Team).

The “triple” of medals was completed by the 2016 group, coached by Adrian Petruț. Arădeni won a group with Auto Timișoara (score 2-3), Unirea Ungheni (5-3), CS Dumbrăvița (6-4) and Alma Sibiu (4-2). It was followed by 2-0 in the semi-final with Galactic Bistrita and victory on “penalties” with ACS Chinteni, after 2-2 in regulation time.
