MAIA announces that today is the last day to apply for AGGRI grants for farmers in the cattle sector

The Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry reminds that May 17, 2024 is the deadline for submitting grant applications within the AGGRI project, dedicated to producers in the livestock sector (cattle breeders).

The grants, with a value of up to 1 million US dollars and covering up to 50% of the costs of eligible investments, are intended for: the construction or modernization of zootechnical infrastructure; purchase of new equipment and machinery; implementation of feed processing units; purchase of breeding animals; investments in energy efficiency, including biogas plants and the installation of photovoltaic panels.

To obtain the grant, applicants must meet the following conditions:
• Be registered and active in the territory controlled by the authorities of the Republic of Moldova, including the territory of the Dubăsari district, located along the Rîbnița – Tiraspol route, with the exception of the town. Chisinau and Or. Balti, in accordance with the legislation in force;
• To be legal owners of the immovable and movable assets that are the subject of stimulation through the grant mechanism, with a lease term of at least five years;
• To have an economically and financially viable business plan for a period of at least 5 years;
• To undertake the commitment to contribute financially with at least 50% of the value of the investment sub-project.
An important aspect of the grant program is the application of VAT at the rate of 0% for the investments financed by the grant, as well as the possibility to benefit from subsidies from the state.
