Five people, including an eight-year-old child, were injured in an accident on Tuesday, May 7, 2024, in Suceava county. The driver of a car lost control over the direction of travel, and the car skidded, overturned and broke a concrete pillar.

The road event took place on Tuesday, May 7, 2024, in the Suceava town of Roşiori, where a car left the road, overturned on its side and stopped in a concrete pillar, which it broke.

Five people were injured as a result of the event, being the driver and four passengers in the car. An eight-year-old child is among the victims. All the victims are conscious and cooperative, but have various traumas.

As a result of the accident, no pedestrians were injured, the representatives of ISU Suceava specified.

The military firefighters intervened at the scene of the accident with a rescue vehicle and three SMURD ambulances, including a mobile intensive care unit, as well as two crews of the Suceava County Ambulance Service.

Sucevan police established that a 23-year-old driver from Bosanci commune, at the wheel of a Volkswagen car, traveling from Rădăuți to Suceava, was not paying attention to traffic when he reached the intersection with a communal road .

He did not keep a sufficient distance from a Mazda car that was driving in front of him, the car being driven by a 60-year-old driver from Grănicești, who had stopped to turn onto the secondary road.

To avoid the impact with the car traveling in front of him, the driver of the Volkswagen entered the opposite direction of travel, where he collided head-on with a Fiat car, driven by a 43-year-old man from Rădăuți, who was traveling regularly towards Rădăuți.

Four people were injured in the accident and were transported to the hospital for further investigation. None of the three drivers involved in the road accident had consumed alcohol.
