A strong flood formed on Sunday evening in the town of Vâlcăneşti, Prahova county, where, following a torrential rain, the waters of the Sărata stream overflowed. Three cars were taken by the waters and carried to a distance of one kilometer. No casualties were reported as a result of the events.

The water level of the Sărata stream rose on Sunday evening, following a torrential rain, a strong flood forming in the town of Vâlcăneşti in Prahova county, reports News.ro.

According to the representatives of ISU Prahova, the flood took three cars that were carried by the waters to a distance of approximately one kilometer. Two of the cars were abandoned, the third being functional.

As a result of the flood, no victims were reported in the town.

At the time of this news, the water level of the stream is still high, and the area is being monitored.

The town of Vâlcăneşti was on Sunday evening under a code orange warning of dangerous weather phenomena, the authorities issuing RO-Alert warning messages for people from this town and from Urlaţi, Boldeşti-Scăeni, Valea Călugărească, Bucov, Vărbilău, Gura Vitioarei, Albeşti-Paleologu, Lipăneşti, Măgurele, Cocorăştii Mislii, Dumbrăveşti, Bălțesti and Plopu.
