Serious road accident in Hunedoara. A 21-year-old man died, and four other people, including a 16-year-old minor, were injured in a traffic accident that took place on Friday afternoon in the area of Băiţa, in Hunedoara County.
According to the Hunedoara County Police Inspectorate (IPJ), the accident occurred after a 23-year-old man, who got behind the wheel of a car while drunk, lost control of the direction of travel in a left turn and drove the car into a protective parapet on the side of the road.
“As a result of the road incident, a 21-year-old man died and three other people were injured. The driver was tested with the breathalyzer, which indicated a value of 0.54 mg/l of pure alcohol in the exhaled air,” said the cited source, according to Agerpres.
Two rescue vehicles from the military fire department in Deva, as well as four ambulances, were mobilized to the scene to provide the necessary assistance to the victims.

There were five people in the car, one of whom, aged 27, remained imprisoned, and the 21-year-old was in cardio-respiratory arrest. Resuscitation maneuvers were applied to him, but without any result, ISU Hunedoara informed.
Two of the victims were transported to the Deva County Hospital for specialized investigations: the 27-year-old man and a 16-year-old minor.
The other two people involved in the event were evaluated by the medical crews at the scene of the intervention and it was not necessary to transport them to a hospital unit, states ISU Hunedoara.
In the case, the police have drawn up a criminal investigation file under the aspect of committing the crimes of culpable homicide and culpable bodily injury.
