A tragic accident took place this afternoon, in Căldăraru, resulting in two deaths and two injuries.
The two young people died on the spot following the impact with an electricity pole.

According to argesspress.ro, the deceased young people are called IA, 19 years old, from Căldăraru and CG, 16 years old, from Mirosi.

The 19-year-old was behind the wheel of the BMW car, in which he was with three cousins, the cited source notes.
The Argeș Police officially transmits how the road incident occurred:
“Following the preliminary checks, carried out by the policemen from the Costesti Road Squad, it was determined that a 19-year-old man from Căldăraru, who was driving a car, on DN 65 A, from Pitesti, in the town of Căldăraru, in circumstances that will be established by investigations, lost control of the direction of travel, left the roadway, struck a utility pole and a tree and flipped onto its roof.
Following the impact, the driver and a 15-year-old passenger remained imprisoned, and after being extracted by specialized crews, they were declared dead.
Two other young people, 14 and 17 years old respectively, passengers in the car, were injured, but, after the evaluation carried out by the medical crews, they refused to be transported to the hospital.
In the case, a criminal file will be drawn up, under the aspect of committing the crimes of culpable homicide and culpable bodily harm, and investigations continue to establish all the circumstances in which the event occurred,” informs IPJ Argeș.
