The other people injured in the road accident are a 52-year-old female driver and two other passengers aged 32 and 62, respectively, from both cars.

On May 1st, at around 1:20 p.m., the policemen from the Roman Road Bureau were alerted to the occurrence of a road event, on Ștefan cel Mare street, in Roman municipality.
“Following the investigations carried out by the police, it emerged that while a 65-year-old man from Bucharest was driving a car on the indicated road sector, he allegedly collided with a car traveling on opposite direction, later ricocheting into another parked car.
As a result of the impact, the 65-year-old driver and two other people from the second car were injured.
The police are continuing the investigations regarding the commission of the crime of culpable bodily harm”, stated Ramona Ciofu, from IPJ Neamț.
“At the place of the request, forces and means of intervention were assigned from the Roman Fire Department (a fire truck with extrication module and two SMURD TIM and EPA ambulances) and from the Roman SAJ.
Two cars were involved in the road accident, in which there were two people each. No one remained incarcerated.
A 64-year-old man, the driver of a car, was pulled out of the car by firefighters, who found that he was in cardiorespiratory arrest. Resuscitation maneuvers were immediately started. Later, he was picked up and transported (under resuscitation) by the SMURD TIM crew to the Romanian CPU.
A 61-year-old woman, a passenger in the same car, required medical attention, being picked up by the SMURD (EPA) crew and transported to the Roman CPU.
Two other women, 32 and 50 years old, from the other car, received medical care at the scene of the event from the SAJ crews, later being transported to the Roman CPU.
The firefighters also acted to ensure fire prevention and extinguishing measures and to clean the roadway of the elements resulting from the road event”, said Irina Popa from ISU Neamț.
