At least 19 people died, on the night of Tuesday to Wednesday, after a portion of the Meilong Expressway collapsed in the Chinese province of Guangdong (south), reports News.ro, citing AFP.
In total, 28 vehicles were “caught” in the act, according to public broadcaster CCTV.

The incident “involved 49 people, 19 of whom were confirmed dead”, according to the station.
The lives of the injured and hospitalized people are not in danger, CCTV also announces.
Images published on social media and picked up by local publications show smoke and flames coming out of a deep pit where they saw the cars.
Local authorities announced that approximately 500 people were sent to help rescuers, according to state media.
The cause of the surprise has not been established, for now.
