30 couples from Oradea, awarded during the Golden Wedding event – Oradea live

Mayor Florin Birta together with Deputy Mayor Marcel Dragoș congratulated today, April 30, the 30 couples present in the large hall of the Oradea City Hall, at the “Golden Wedding” event.

The event is organized by the municipality as a sign of appreciation for families who have completed 50 years of uninterrupted marriage and are domiciled in Oradea.

Mayor Florin Birta addressed those present: “I congratulate you and thank you for the example you set for us every day, for our children and for all the people of Oradea. You are for us an example of how life should be lived, regardless of difficulties and times. I wish you all good health with peace and tranquility, and to those who celebrate Easter, Happy Holidays!”

The award ceremony took place in the presence of the seniors and their families, each pair receiving an anniversary diploma, accompanied by flowers and a cash prize of 1,000 lei.

Vice Mayor Marcel Dragoș awarded each pair a diploma of gratitude and a rose. He said: “5 years ago, I experienced the same emotions with my parents who celebrated their golden wedding right here, in the festive hall of Oradea City Hall. I know what a family means and I confess that I am glad to see so many of you together. I also recently celebrated my 30th wedding anniversary and silver wedding anniversary. So, I honestly believe that in a society, the family is the most important link. When things go well in a family, they spill over into society, and as adults we carry forward what we see best within our families. Thank you all and happy holidays!”

At the end of the celebration, the seniors were sung “Happy Birthday!”.
