A road accident in which three cars were involved occurred on Tuesday morning, on DN 64, Băbeni township, Vâlcea county, the Infotraffic Center of the General Inspectorate of the Romanian Police announces.
The police report that the impact resulted in two victims, who are undergoing medical evaluation.
Road traffic is stopped in both directions, traffic values are high.
“As a result of the impact, 2 people were injured, namely a 36-year-old woman from the locality and a 55-year-old man from the municipality of Râmnicu Vâlcea, both of whom were transported to the hospital for medical care. The drivers were tested with the breathalyzer, the results were negative. Investigations are being continued by the police to establish exactly the circumstances in which the event occurred. Blocked traffic”, according to IPJ Vâlcea.
ISU Vâlcea specifies that the forces from the Râmnicu Vâlcea Fire Department, with a fire truck with extrication mode, an extrication vehicle and an SMURD ambulance, as well as an SAJ ambulance, went to the scene of the event as a matter of urgency.
“The incarcerated person was quickly extracted by the rescue teams and handed over, conscious and cooperative, to the medical teams present at the scene. As a result of the accident, there were two victims, a woman and a man, who were transported to UPU Vâlcea by the SMURD and SAJ crews”, according to the firemen.
