Urgent hunt for 11-year-old schoolgirl who has gone missing – as police release picture of child

Police are urgently trying to find an 11-year-old schoolgirl after she went missing this morning.

Ava May was last seen at 11.45am today in the Great Houghton area of ​​South Yorkshire and has not been seen since.

She is described as white, 5ft 6in tall and has long, blonde, highlighted hair.

Ava was last seen wearing a beige fur waist length coat with a black top and black trousers.

Officers are becoming increasingly concerned for Ava’s welfare and want to speak to anyone who has seen her. The child is known to have links to Barnsley and Sheffield.
