(VIDEO) Vadim and Marian Vanghelie’s daughter launched their candidacies

On Monday, Lidia Vadim Tudor submitted her candidacy to the Sector 5 City Hall on behalf of AUR, with AUR leader George Simion also present at the event.

“I have experienced people on the team who will certainly help us make this sector a safer place for citizens, a cleaner place for citizens to live in and certainly a place where women and children can benefit from everything they need, prevention programs, permanent monitoring, to feel safe and to stop being, as we are considered now, the Cinderella of Bucharest”, said the daughter of the former PRM leader, Corneliu Vadim Tudor.

George Simion expressed his hope not to see “the well-known mess in this sector” again.

“We hope not to see the well-known mess in this sector again, we hope to make it clean, we hope to make it immaculate and we hope to do justice both in the sectors of Bucharest and in the whole country. We want justice for Romania. Vadim is coming back,” Simion said.

Also, on Monday, Marian Vanghelie submitted her candidacy as an independent at the District 5 City Hall.

Vanghelie stated that he proposes education as his priority, noting that what is happening in Sector 5 in the school units “never happened”, not even before 1989.

“There was never, not even in 1989, what is happening now in Sector 5. We have 10 (educational – no) units closed, we have over 20 units where they flow from the upstairs toilets through the classrooms. Believe me, when I became mayor it was not like that. I changed education. Now (…) what I promise and what I want to do, starting with education, which must be point number 1, not only for the City Hall of Sector 5, but for all of Romania, education at this moment to bring it to the standards biggest in the world. We will be an example for other countries in Europe and for everything we want to do for our children. This is why I applied. I sat and thought a lot: to submit it, not to submit it, how to interpret it, what can be said”, said Vanghelie.

He claimed that he will rehabilitate 600 blocks in the sector.

“Today I’m not going to say anything bad about my opponents, because it’s not the time. I just want to explain a few things to you: I made 600 blocks out of 1,200 thermal insulation blocks, in eight years 40 blocks were made. I promise the people that in two years I will finish the difference of another 600 blocks. And I tell you with arguments. We had 120 construction sites, when we put scaffolding on 500 streets and 600 blocks in a year and a half. So, out of 700 streets, we made 650 water, canal and asphalt streets. They couldn’t finish in the 50 streets, and we’ve been talking for eight years,” added Vanghelie.

He also claimed that during his mandate he opened stores on an economical model.

“We didn’t privatize anything. We opened stores on a thrift store model, but actually a supermarket, which had 10,000 products and the model was as follows as a marketing system: the 100 products without commercial addition brought customers for the other 9,900. I did, I think Sebastian Park was made by me, it was a field and a field with dirt. Today they are trying to restore something, if you can believe it, with a company from Turkey that Romanians no longer make parks, in a quick formula in the campaign”, Marian Vanghelie also claimed.

The former mayor also said that Sector 5 is destroyed.

“We are happy to put some grassy corners and some curbs and the rest nothing happened. We film ourselves with TikTok and swear at our directors in the town hall as if they were slaves on the plantation. Such a thing did not exist in the City Hall of Sector 5. (…) And to move us from Sector 4 to Sector 5, from Sector 5 to the Capital and if he does not go to the Capital, I am sure that in four years he will run for Sector 2. This is a way of not assuming what you have done and what you are”, said Vanghelie.

He also claimed that he received several proposals to run for the Capital City Hall.

“Many proposals came to me, including running for the Capital, I’m not interested. I am telling you that I am only running for the fact that it can change. And I will tell you one more thing (…): the real leaders in the world who made history and who managed to found strong states did not succeed until they were in prison, had problems or various things happened to them. (…) I tell you: all the problems I went through in these 10 years did nothing but strengthen me”, said Vanghelie.
