“We are starting the safety work at Hanul Solacolu, it is an emblematic building for Bucharest, built in 1859, one of the oldest civil buildings of Bucharest, a historical monument, unfortunately left to decay for years. It’s about putting it in safety, that is, we will support the facades, we will support the heels to the old properties, the interior elements, there are vaults on the first floor, on the ground floor, in the basement. The end of this operation will be that this building will be supported on all sides and will be secure. This operation will end at the end of this year,” said the capital’s mayor.

“It will probably take another two, three years until this building will be brought back into operation,” he added.
