THE REGRETS OF AN ARTIST OF THE GOLDEN GENERATION. Nicola, EXCLUSIVE at Altceva with Adrian Artene

--

Nicola is, without question, one of the STATEMENT artists of the golden generation in Romanian music. Somehow, during her professional career she had the joy of singing on the same stage with the sacred monsters of Romanian singing, but also with artists who won their place and notoriety later. In addition, songs such as “Milioane”, “Cu tălpile goale”, “Balerina” or “Lăngă mine” are only a part of the songs that have found public validation thanks to the interpretation signed by the beloved artist, and their rhythm and message remained strongly impregnated in the Romanian musical culture.

The years passed, and Nicola remained loyal to his musical style, not accepting to make any compromise, however small it might have been, just for moments of glory in which he does not believe. Invited in the newest episode of the “Altceva cu Adrian Artene” podcast, with overflowing sincerity, the artist exposed her regrets, but also her joys and achievements without restraint.

It all started when the creator of the podcast asked her where she thinks I’ll be in 5 years. And he also gave an example… at the Golden Stag?

“It’s… how do I know what? Yes, and it’s been badly fractured ever since. I don’t understand why the Golden Stag disappeared again, he had just started work again and, oh well, he’s gone. (…) I am really sorry that this festival no longer exists either. An attempt was made last year to rebuild Mamaia. I understand that it was not a very successful attempt. In the end, it’s good that there was something there. I want these two big festivals that we also had to return to their original form. I really want… also Mamaia and the Golden Stag”, said Nicola on the ALTCEVA podcast.
