Aviation accident: a small aircraft crashed in Alba. What happened to the pilot

The rescuers from ISU Alba intervened on Sunday, after an air accident was reported to the emergency number 112.

According to the first information, a small plane was forced to make a forced landing within the radius of Vurpăr.

The pilot managed to control the aircraft until close to the ground, but on landing, it overturned. A water and foam extinguishing crew, as well as a medical first aid crew from the Sebeș Fire Department, went to the scene.

Fortunately, the pilot escaped alive. The man is 50 years old and was medically evaluated, during which the doctors found that he had not suffered any injuries. He refused to be transported to the hospital.

The representatives of ISU Alba told Antena 3 that the aircraft departed from Cisnădie, but at one point, the pilot noticed a malfunction due to which the plane was losing fuel. He then made the decision to crash land.

In November 2023, a TAROM ATR made a landing at the Budapest airport

The last aviation incident involving an aircraft piloted by a Romanian happened in November 2023, when the ATR 72-600 YR-ATL aircraft of the Tarom company, with 71 passengers on board, made a “pause” when landing at the airport from Budapest.

Specifically, the plane suffered a wheel failure on the left main landing gear landing gear, right while taxiing on the runway of the airport in the capital of Hungary.

The landing was one of great emotions, after the aircraft left the runway and stopped on one of the taxiways. Fortunately, no one was injured during the incident, but Budapest airport officials blocked the runway for four hours to investigate.

Another TAROM plane was sent from Bucharest to operate the return flight to Otopeni airport.
