Romania won the gold medal in the women’s double sculls, through Ioana Vrînceanu and Roxana Anghel, on Sunday, at the European Rowing Championships in Szeged (Hungary). At the same time, Florin Arteni and Florin Lehaci won the silver medals in the men’s double frame event.
Ioana Vrînceanu and Roxana Anghel were clocked with a time of 7 min 52 sec 05/100, followed by Greece (8:00.87) and Croatia 08:03.13).

Arteni and Lehaci they were timed in 7 min 03 sec 88/100, being overtaken by the crew from Great Britain (7:01.54). The podium was completed by Switzerland (7:06.50).

Also on Sunday, in the men’s four-frame event, Romania (Andrei Mândrilă, Mugurel Vasile Semciuc, Ştefan Berariu, Ciprian Tudosă) ranked fourth, with a time of 06 min 24 sec 77/100, almost two seconds from the podium. Great Britain won the gold medals (06:17.63), Italy got the silver (06:20.27), and the bronze went to France (06:22.86).
On Saturday, Romania won three medals, one gold, one silver and one bronze.
