Valentin Florea, the AUR candidate for the City Hall of Sector 6, announced that he will resign from the party, being disappointed by the direction taken by the formation led by George Simion, whom he categorized as “garbage” that made a “counter” in Bucharest.

“Today I decided to resign from the AUR party. I only feel sorry for the good people, people he took advantage of and still takes advantage of, a Garbage,” wrote Florea on his Facebook page, posting a photo of him in which the party’s logo also appears.

He accused George Simion of being greedy for power and of “destroying organizations in the country, a man who humiliates, offends, lies.”

“In the historic year 2024, everything is changed. Devils replaced ideals, money overshadowed principles, the mix polarized the party into hundreds of mini-camps. Disintegrated organizations, good, soulful, capable, beautiful people…disappointed by Garbage. (…) AUR is an illusion at the present time, directed by a Garbage!” said Florea.

Valentin Florea also stated on Saturday that his message comes after “I can no longer have a trash party leader” who “wants total control” and whom he says that “Stalin was a small child”. He hopes that Claudiu Târziu will reach the helm of the party.

Florea also claimed that George Simion intervened to make changes on the list for the Local Council District 6 because he did not want “psd-ists on the list, in the first 10”.

“Well, in Iași, Alba Iulia and all over the country, you appointed PSD-ists, PNL-ists, trail workers for the last hundred meters, either candidates for the municipalities or for the county councils. It doesn’t fit there anymore? Or was it cashed in? Garbage is put in the lists, everything at AUR is taxed. There is no SG, there are no Vice-Presidents, presidents, there is nothing but Garbage,” Florea wrote.

He also declared that George Simion has no chance in the race for Cotroceni and accused him of not having a good command of the Romanian language.

“If Mr. Gunoi thinks he will ever be the President of Romania, he is sorely mistaken. God forbid! (The Americans won’t let you, Trash, and the Romanians won’t vote for you either), because you have neither scope nor ability. You still can’t tell the difference between the dative and the accusative,” Florea wrote.

From the gallery to the town hall

Florea is the former leader of Peluza Nord Steaua, according to ProSport. He frequented the stadiums in the gallery since 1997. After entering politics in 2021, in the party led by George Simion, Florea deleted his past photos from Facebook, notes ProSport.

Valentin Florea announced his intention to run for the AUR at the Sector 6 City Hall through a press release in March, according to Agerpres.

On this occasion, he pleaded for the abolition of the sector town halls and a single administration for the Capital.

According to the AUR press release, “Valentin Florea’s professional experience in both the real estate and notary fields will help him eliminate bureaucracy in Sector 6”.

“I will do my best to make District 6 look like an important part of a European capital, because our goal is to have only one administration, Mihai Enache (no AUR candidate for the Capital’s mayor’s office) to be mayor for 8-12 years , let’s no longer have seven administrative apparatuses, hundreds of councilors, institutions that do not add anything to society,” said Valentin Florea, in a press conference held in front of the Sector 6 City Hall, according to the quoted source.
