Driver imprisoned after a drunken accident (VIDEO)

A man was transported to the Emergency Department after causing a road accident while drunk and remained incarcerated.

The incident took place on Thursday afternoon, on Cismea Street, in Botoşani. The driver of a Volkswagen Golf, 44 years old, was speeding towards Săvenilor Street. At one point, he hit a car parked on the side of the road, hooking the rear-view mirror, after which he entered the opposite direction and violently hit the fence of a house. Following the impact, the driver was stuck in the car, being in an advanced state of intoxication. “He broke my mirror. He walked in a zigzag pattern and had speed. He came at speed and stopped at the fence. I wanted to turn the car around and come after him, but he stopped at the fence. As you can see he was very drunk”said a driver whose car was hit before the accident.

The witnesses called the 112 service, and rescue crews and the crew with a SMURD doctor arrived at the scene in a short time. The medical personnel gave first aid to the driver right between the contorted beasts of the car. Later, the firefighters freed him, and the man was transported by SMURD ambulance to the Emergency Department. “The man is to be subjected to a speciality examination in order to decide the therapeutic conduct”stated the specialist in emergency medicine Dănuţ Panaitescu, from UPU-SMURD.
