From today, the gendarmes from Calaras benefit from a modern gym! What facilities does the grandiose construction have

On Wednesday, April 24, the Călăraşi County Gendarmerie Inspectorate (IJJ) inaugurated a new modern gym. Thanks to the generous space it provides, it is dedicated to practicing several sports.

This investment, made with funds from the Ministry of Development, Public Works and Administration through the National Investment Company, will serve both for sports competitions and for the training of the unit’s staff.

The inauguration was attended by Brigadier General Alin Mastan, the inspector general of the Romanian Gendarmerie, the prefect of Călărași county, Mr. Valentin Deculescu, and representatives of the local and county authorities, as well as of the MAI structures in the county.

The sports hall is equipped with a grandstand for 180 seats, changing rooms, toilets and technical spaces. In total, it has a built-up area of ​​1,445 sqm and a developed area of ​​1,750 sqm. The hall is sized for basketball, tennis, volleyball and mini-football training and matches, being properly equipped with basketball hoops, tennis and volleyball nets, as well as mini-football goals.

“The final value of the works executed according to the design and execution contract is 9,141,658 lei including VAT, and the completion period was 12 months”it is stated in the press release issued by IJJ Călărași.

The president of the Călăraşi County Council, Vasile Iliuță, was also present at the inauguration of the hall. He expressed his satisfaction with this investment, emphasizing the constructive collaboration with the chief inspector, Colonel Ionel Marcu, and their involvement in supporting the MAI staff for their training and training for the benefit of the protection of citizens.

“Today I went to the Călăraşi County Gendarmerie Inspectorate “Brigadier General Barbu Pârâianu” to see one of the most important investments by the CNI in the county, a multi-functional room with over 180 seats that will help in the preparation and training of the MAI staff.

The administrative collaboration I have with the chief inspector, Colonel Ionel Marcu, has produced many visible results at the operational and logistical level. I want us to have as many opportunities as possible to support those who deal with the protection of the civilian population”conveyed Vasile Iliuță, through a post on Facebook.

The opening of the hall was also attended by Marius Dulce, the mayor of Călărași, who, in turn, applauded this initiative: “An investment that ennobles the effort of the military in blue, efforts directed towards a European military career. Congratulations!”.
