BNR launched the coin with the theme “90 years since the establishment of the Bucharest Emergency Clinical Hospital”
The National Bank of Romania (BNR) launched the coin with the theme “90 years since the establishment of the Bucharest Emergency Clinical Hospital” on April 22, 2024.
The obverse of the coin shows the portrait of Queen Mother Elena, who campaigned for the construction of the first emergency hospital in Bucharest, the inscription “Romania” in a circular arc, nominal value of 10 lei, the year of issue (2024) and the coat of arms of Romania.
The obverse of the coin shows the hospital building and the inscriptions “Spitalul Clinic de Urgența Bucharest” and “90 years”.

The coins are made of silver and come packaged in transparent methacrylate capsules. They are accompanied by certificates of authenticity, written in Romanian, English and French. The certificates of authenticity bear the signatures of the BNR governor and the central cashier.
The maximum mintage for this coin is 5,000 pieces.
The sale price for the silver coin with the theme “90 years since the establishment of the Bucharest Clinical Emergency Hospital” is 450 lei, exclusive of VAT, and the certificate of authenticity is also included.
Silver coins have circulation power on the territory of Romania. Their launch in the numismatic circuit is carried out through the Bucharest, Cluj, Constanța, Dolj, Iași and Timiș regional branches of the BNR.
