A road accident, in which several vehicles were involved, took place on Tuesday afternoon at the entrance to Valea Oltului, within the radius of the Lazaret locality.

According to the police, the accident happened on DN7 at the entrance to Boita. A TIR hit a cargo minibus, which it projected the other way into the semi-trailer of another truck. “From the first investigations carried out, it was established that, while driving a trailer towards Sibiu, a 54-year-old man, from Satu Mare county, collided with a freight transport minibus driven in front of him by a man aged 31, from Şelimbăr, projects it in the opposite direction, then hits the semi-trailer of another tractor unit driven in front of the minibus by a 45-year-old man, from Giurgiu county”, says Elena Welter, the bearer of word of IPJ Sibiu.

As a result of the event, the passenger in the minibus, a 38-year-old man from Orlat, was injured, who was transported to the hospital conscious. “There were two victims, men, aged 38 and 31. The 38-year-old man was transported to UPU Sibiu with an acute closed cranio-cerebral trauma, with loss of consciousness, and right calf trauma. The second man refused transport to the UPU”, says Vasile Scridon, the spokesperson of SAJ Sibiu.

The three drivers were tested for alcohol, the results were negative. Currently, traffic is moving alternately.
