The little judoka from LPS – Champions Oradea managed to get two medals, three 5th places and two 7th places at the National Championship competitions reserved for the U13 and U15 age categories.

Held in Arad on April 20-21, the competition brought together 747 athletes from 95 clubs from all over the country. Of these, 366 participated in the U13 category, and 381 in the U15 category.

The performer of the Oradean team coached by Alexandru Goncearenco, Dan Fâșie and Andreea Mateaș was Vanessa Rogojan (in main image)who, following the evolution, won the gold medal and became the national champion in the category -32 kg U13.

The other medal, namely the third place, was obtained by Eduard Bejan, in the -38 kg U13 category.

Eduard defeated his friend and teammate Matei Buşanu in the small final, in the match for the third place. Thus, Matei ranked V.

LPS – Champions obtained two more V places, through Rareş Radu in the -55 kg U13 category and Sofia Cioloş in the -44 kg U15 category.

According to coach Alexandru Goncearenco, Alexandra Cîmpan at -57 kg U15 and Anamaria Tudose at +57 kg U13 also had good evolutions, who took the 7th place.

“It was a very high level competition with a very large number of participants. We are pleased with the progress of our athletes, many of whom are participating in the National Championships for the first time. Great progress can be seen and we are optimistic for the future!”, the leader and coach of the LPS – Champions Oradea club, Alexandru Goncearenco, also conveyed.

It should be mentioned that, following the results obtained, the two medalists from the Oradea club, Vanessa Rogojan and Eduard Bejan, will represent Romania at the Balkan Championships in June, which will be organized in North Macedonia.
