Wednesday morning there was a road accident in the area of the intersection of Memorandumului and Samuil Micu streets. According to the information provided by the authorities, a minor was hit by a van of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MAI).
The Local Police confirmed that the incident happened while an MAI vehicle was traveling on Samuil Micu Street. Under circumstances that are still unclear, the car collided with a young woman who was crossing the street regularly on the pedestrian crossing.
The intervention crews were quickly mobilized, and an ambulance from the County Ambulance Service (SAJ) arrived at the scene. Medical personnel administered first aid to the minor and arranged for her transport to the medical facility for further investigation and treatment.
Following this tragic incident, local authorities and law enforcement are conducting a thorough investigation to establish the exact circumstances of the accident.
