On this festive occasion, during the ceremony that took place on the stage in front of the “Casino” Urban Culture Center, Mrs. Irina Munteanu, in the presence of civil and military officials, among whom we mention the Most Reverend Andrei, the Metropolitan of Cluj, Maramureș and Sălaj, the Most Reverend Claudiu Lucian Pop, the mayor Emil Boc, the vice president of the County Council Vákár István, together with county and local councilors, with the participation of the heads of the county structures of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, sent the following message to the Cluj gendarmes:

“Today, on April 3, 2024, we all gather to mark Romanian Gendarmerie Day, a day in which we celebrate the courage, dedication and professionalism of those who wear the uniform of the gendarmerie with pride and honor.

As prefect of Cluj county, it is an honor to address you, those who are at the base of the safety and tranquility of our citizens. The gendarmerie is not only a law enforcement force, but a symbol of unwavering dedication to law and justice.

Each of you is an essential link in the chain that ensures the peace and security of the community. Through your sacrifice and vigilance, you demonstrate every day that public safety is more than a profession; it is a vocation.

On this special day, I wish to thank you for your exemplary service and to assure you of my full support in the accomplishment of your missions. Let us remember those who have fallen in the line of duty and bow with respect to their supreme sacrifice.

Celebrate this day with pride, honoring the traditions of the Romanian Gendarmerie and continuing to be an example of integrity and courage for all of us.

Happy birthday, Romanian Gendarmerie!”
