The Alba Iulia City Hall is putting up for auction the first plot of land in the future economic zone of the municipality, announced Deputy Mayor Emil Popescu, on his Facebook page.

The land in question, in area of 18,104 square meterscan be granted for a period of 49 years, and the minimum starting price of the auction is 1.38 euros per square meterper year, he wrote.

Submission of offers is done between May 7-14, until 4:00 p.m., at the headquarters of the Alba Iulia Municipality.

The public meeting for the opening of the offers will take place on May 20, at 12.00, at the headquarters of the Contracts, Heritage Service, Contracts Development Department, Public and Private Domain, located in Alba Iulia, Republicii str., no. 26 (vis-a – dream of Dedeman).

“The concession of the first plot opens the way for companies that want to invest in Alba Iulia, in the ring road area called “Activity Park”.

It’s another promise honored by the current administration in our municipality!

Returning to the parcel to which I referred, I remind you that, by contract, the concessionaire has several obligations, among which:

  • within a maximum of 6 months from the date of signing the concession contract, to take the steps regarding the elaboration of the necessary documentation/studies and obtaining the mandatory approvals in order to obtain the construction authorization for the arrangement of communication routes and expansions of technical and building networks, up to the lot subject to the concession;
  • within a maximum of 18 months from obtaining the building permit for the works provided for in the point above, to obtain the building permit for the basic objective for which the land concession is requested, respecting the provisions of the urban planning documentation approved with HCL 54/30.01.2023.
  • within a maximum of 24 months from obtaining the building permit for the basic objective for which the land concession is requested, to start the works provided for in the building permit and to complete the investment within the validity period provided by the construction legislation, and after the completion of the investment to establish the registered office of the company on the concessioned site.

I am convinced that, over time, this Activity Park will bring together more and more companies that will provide jobs and contribute, through taxes, to the increase of the city’s budget” stated Deputy Mayor Emil Popescu.

The mayor of Alba Iulia, Gabriel Pleșa, claimed three years ago that the local administration is preparing the development of the economic zone in the eastern part of the town, in the vicinity of the A10 Sebeș-Turda Highway.

In a first phase, 13 lots were to be auctioned for investors. The lots were to be connected to utilities. After 3 years, the town hall announces that it is putting the first plot up for auction.
