In total, in Romania there are wind farms with an installed capacity of about 3,000 MW.

Peak production was 2,217 MW at 11:50 AM.

At that time, wind energy covered almost 40% of the country’s consumption, which was 5,600 MW.

High wind weather warnings continue into the night. On the other hand, however, too high a wind speed can cause operators to shut down the turbines, as there is a risk of them being broken.

Romania exports electricity today, a large part going to Ukraine

With the country’s electricity production being higher than consumption, our country exported over 1,200 MW at lunchtime.

The electricity went especially to the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine.

Moldelectrica’s real-time data showed that, at 15:00, a quantity of 450 MW of electricity coming from Romania was going on to Ukraine.
