From today, drivers can drive without including daytime running lights. The measure is provided for in the Road Traffic Regulation, writes Moldpres.md
Between November 1st and March 31st, drivers are obliged to drive with low beam headlights and during the day. The measure is applied annually during the cold season, characterized by unstable weather, accompanied by rain, gloomy weather and fog, which reduce visibility in traffic.
Asked by the agency, the press officer of the National Public Security Inspectorate, Natalia Golovco, mentioned that drivers must be careful behind the wheel.
“They are to secure themselves properly and signal the intention to change direction. At the same time, it is important to increase the safety distance between vehicles, but also to keep the speed limit. Avoid risky overtaking, which can become extremely dangerous in conditions of low visibility,” said Natalia Golovco.
Pedestrians are also urged to cross the street in the permitted places and only after making sure.
