The Blackheath Water Treatment Plant supplies water to a large part of the city but has to be shut down for urgent maintenance. The alternate water supply will be rerouted from the other water treatment plants to the Blackheath WTP water supply areas for the duration of the shutdown. This may result in a temporary reduction of water pressure in some parts of the city.

Residents across Cape Town are kindly requested to reduce their water consumption to ensure the provision of a sustainable water supply during the shutdown period.
