Road accident on Lucian Blaga Boulevard in the municipality of Satu Mare. Everything happened today, around 11:00 a.m., when a driver, driving a Ford, driving from Amațiuului street, entered the roundabout in the area of ​​the Territorial Labor Inspectorate of Satu Mare, colliding with a Dacia car, led from Octavian Goga Boulevard towards Satu Mare International Airport, according to PresaSM information.

The forum suffered minor damage on the right-front side, and the Dacia car was damaged on the left-rear side. Although the accident resulted only in material damage, no one was injured, the two drivers did not move their cars from the roundabout, to the despair of other road users. And that’s because they didn’t reach an amicable settlement.

Thus, Article 79 of GEO 195/2002, regarding traffic on public roads, clearly states that drivers involved in a traffic accident resulting only in vehicle damage and/or other material damage are obliged to:

a) To immediately remove the vehicles outside the carriageway or, if the condition of the vehicles does not allow this, to move them as close as possible to the curb or curb, signaling their presence;

b) To present himself at the competent police unit in the radius of which the accident occurred within no more than 24 hours after the occurrence of the event in order to draw up the verification documents.

It should also be noted that the following are exempted from the obligations mentioned above:

a) Drivers of vehicles who conclude an amicable finding of an accident, in accordance with the law;

b) The driver of a vehicle who has optional car accident insurance, and the traffic accident only resulted in damage to his own vehicle.
