Ferrari has officially entered the league of manufacturers that have an SUV in their range. Even though he resisted for a long time and promised not to do it, finally, Ferrari Purosangue was launched, although the Italians avoid calling it an SUV. But this means that once the first copies are already delivered, the first real-life duels between the new Ferrari model and its parallel from the camp with which Ferrari competes most intensively — Lamborghini — appear.

The British recently put the two models side by side in a direct competition. And if the Lamborghini Urus already sounds very familiar with its V8 twin turbo engine, and even the 666 HP version is not exactly an absolute novelty, then the Ferrari recipe is one that fascinates by its very daring to defy all current trends in propulsion systems.

Ferrari Purosangue comes with a huge 6.5 liter naturally aspirated 725 hp V12 engine! Today, only Rolls-Royce still has SUVs with V12 engines in its range, along with Mercedes-Maybach, but in those cases we are not talking about naturally aspirated engines, made to reach Himalayan revs and sound divine.

Well, in the first attempt the Ferrari driver missed the start a bit. But already in the next race it became clear that, although at a given moment the two cars can be aligned, in the end Ferrari takes it forward with its extra power and revs.

There were 3 races, and Lamborghini managed to win one, but anyway Ferrari was the big winner.

It was, therefore, a duel of honor for Ferrari, which it had to defeat in front of Lamborghini. It would have been bizarre to be otherwise, but it was possible, as Lamborghini is also a formidable competitor. But in the end, the classic Ferrari recipe won!
