Inspired by a series of games that are somewhat legendary or, in any case, famous enough to ensure a solid viewership, the first season of Fallout hit the road accompanied by “Yes, God, let it not be sinister crap, as Amazon managed with Rings of Powerscrap with pulley of Lord of the Rings.

And that’s right, at first glance, Fallout appears very good from three essential points of view:

– the protagonist Lucy (Ella Purnell) is a woman and naive enough to think that she is mentally retarded;

– the protagonist Maximus (Aaron Moten) is so racially diverse that he only represents the politically correct race;

-the other protagonist, Cooper (Walter Goggins), was a privileged white male, but now he’s lost everything and haunts the right radioactive kid the ghoul (a sort of radiation-parasitic zombie).

In short: in the future, the great powers give up their nuclear weapons, the lucky ones take refuge in underground bunkers and patiently wait a few hundred years for enough radiation to pass to repopulate the Earth. But the situation is not exactly rosy in the flourishing bunker 33: its inhabitants probably suffer from a non-diagnostic form of retardation, because, although it is also obvious from the Moon that the guests arriving at the door are not the neighbors from no. 32, but savages from the desert, they insist on receiving them and show themselves very amazed when the latter begin to kill them. The retarded boss is kidnapped, and his daughter becomes the protagonist and goes to save him. On the way, he will meet, one by one, the other two mentioned above and they will deviate in search of an essential thing so that, in the end, all the enigmas on the way will find their predictable and disappointing answer.

Because that’s his big problem Fallout. It’s as shallow as a puddle of genderfluid next to an ecological WC. Yes, it has stuff, sprites, and factions from the games, but it doesn’t have an intelligent story that ties them together. And it wouldn’t be, because it looks like it was written by some people who took an optional creativity course while getting their bachelor’s degree in gender studies. Dramatic events are resolved with a pen five minutes later, hopeless situations find their magic door despite minimal logic and common sense. Ex: the protagonist loses a finger, and a randomly encountered robot gives him another in the next scene, because he is going to cut it in two and empty it of its organs. Or: two protagonists end up in the bunker with dubious men hiding a sinister secret. So 1) she sneaks into the forbidden area where the secret is, thank you, and 2) he easily steals the thing that powered the entire bunker, which, coincidentally, is exactly what his armor needed to function. Perhaps, in a post-apocalyptic world haunted by the insecurity and wildness that had hardened the skeptics in the bunker, security measures are a ridiculous idea. Maybe not as ridiculous as “Proud, I brought you tied up in the public square for trying to kill us, so we sentence you to… (raises sword) …exile to the outside world, where you came from and where you keep insisting you want to return. Let us cut your bonds with the sword. Alas, the sword is dull. It takes a little longer. Of course, we will also give you supplies”. I did not exaggerate at all in the earlier quote.

The ending is supposed to be a nuclear revelation about the mega-conspiracy of the mega-corporations to… but it makes no sense to tell you, you catch yourself. Ultimately, you have to do something while watching some unsympathetic, poorly written and, with the exception of Goggins, poorly acted characters. Fallout he’s boring and passed out in the first four episodes and disappointingly stupid in all eight. Fans of the series would smile wryly and remark, “A sequel worthy of the so-called scrap Fallout 76″.

Fallout2024 – , post-apocalyptic sci-fi series that parasitizes the game series of the same name, more than famous for fans of gamingavailable on Amazon Prime, even though it shouldn’t
