In India, scientists have presented an innovative sugar concrete.

The publication notes that scientists from the University of East London and the companies Tate & Lyle Sugars and Grimshaw participated in the development and production of such a building material.

It is noted that the material developed by scientists will help reduce the problem of carbon footprint, because in the production of the building material carbon dioxide emissions are 5 times lower compared to the manufacture of traditional building materials. “Scientists at the University of East London (UEL) have developed a unique building material called Sugarcrete, which represents a significant advance in the field of sustainable construction. Developed in collaboration with Tate & Lyle Sugars and Grimshaw, the material offers a promising solution to eliminate the carbon footprint associated with traditional building materials such as brick and concrete,” writes Saurabh Shukla in Kryshi Jagran

Sugarcrete boards are a composite material strong enough to be used effectively in construction. Studies have proven the reliability of sugar concrete. The scientists are now looking for companies to help bring the new technology to the world market.
