After Huawei and Samsung, now and Amazfit wants to enter blood pressure monitoring on his smart watches. Apparently the tests are done with the Balance watch and there is evidence of it in China, Malaysia and Brazil.

Someone even posted a YouTube clip, where we see a systole and diastole reading, even one done in front of the camera. There is also a caveat, that we are not dealing with a medical device. The process takes 30 seconds and involves placing the hand on a table and the user remaining perfectly still. Chances are that the system is Samsung-style, involving calibration with a strain gauge before measurements.

Amazfit launched the watch Scales in September 2023 with AI-powered health and fitness features through Zepp Aura and Zepp Coach. In fact, even before Fitbit was working on a chatbot, Amazfit already had one. This watch has a 1.5 inch AMOLED screen, water resistance up to 50 meters, a Biotracker for sleep monitoring.

Offers meditation function and relaxation sounds, plus a “AI sleep guide“, at an apparent cost. Its autonomy reaches 14 days. Amazfit also took inspiration from Samsung by launching a Body Composition Mat, a type of scale with extra metrics.
