On Sunday (May 12) the last games of the Super League play-out will take place, after which we will find out the names of the teams that were directly relegated to the 2nd League, but also the teams that enter the retention/relegation barrier.
Before the final play-out round, four Superliga teams are threatened with relegation: FC Voluntari, Poli Iasi, Dinamo and FC U Craiova. The bottom two will drop directly into the 2nd league and have only one option in the final round: victory.
Above the red area is FC Botosani. The Moldovans, in turn, have emotions at the end of this season, in the context in which they are only 3 points away from the last places in the ranking.
In the final stage, Dinamo will play at the Arc de Triomphe with UTA Arad, the winner of the play-out, while FC U Craiova will receive the visit of Hermannstadt.
The situation is extremely tight at the bottom of the standings, in the context where even a victory cannot ensure Dinamo’s retention in League 1.
To catch a place in the playoffs, the dogs need at least two teams of FC Botoșani, FC Voluntari, Poli Iași and FC U Craiova to lose or, in the case of Olten, a draw being enough to “help” Dinamo.
There is also a chance that Kopic’s team will go above the red zone and thus save themselves directly. However, in order for this criterion to be met, FC Botoșani, Voluntari and Poli Iasi must lose and FC U Craiova to get at most a draw.
