CFR Cluj achieved a dramatic victory, 2-1 (1-1) against Sepsi OSK Sfântu Gheorghe, on Sunday evening, at home, in a match from the seventh stage of the Superleague football play-off.

The hosts won thanks to a goal scored by the Croatian Karlo Muhar (90+6), from Omar El Kaddouri’s pass, after Sepsi OSK played more than one half with nine men.

CFR opened the scoring through Muhar (6), but the Covasnians equalized from the penalty, through Isnik Alimi (20), after Alin Fică fouled Marius Ştefănescu in the box.

Sepsi OSK remained in ten after Darius Oroian received the second yellow card (21), the guests remained in nine after Florin Ştefan saw a direct red card for a foul on Peter Michael, in the position of the last defender (45+2 ).

The guests defended themselves heroically, in front of a team that lacked inspiration and clairvoyance, which nevertheless had some great opportunities. Philip Otele hit the crossbar (57), Durel Avounou missed two good chances (70, 74), and Daniel Bîrligea’s shot was deflected into the crossbar by goalkeeper Roland Niczuly (84).
