Dan Petrescu signed a 3-year contract with CFR Cluj

Dan Petrescu signed a 3-year contract with CFR Cluj in mid-April, after Adrian Mutu resigned from Transylvania.

Dan Petrescu was free after breaking up with Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors, from South Korea. He left after a series of poor results, which left Jeonbuk in last place in the league.

Petrescu’s former team was the only one in the first South Korean league without success in the current edition of the championship, in 6 stages. On the day when “Bursucul” broke up with Jeonbuk, Adrian Mutu resigned from CFR Cluj, after 0-4 with Corvinul in the Romanian Cup.

The team from Gruia was then taken over by interim Francisc Dican and Ovidiu Hoban. For Dan Petrescu, it will be his fourth term on the bench of CFR Cluj, a team with which he won 4 championship titles.

Dan Petrescu has 224 matches on the Transylvanian bench in his career, of which 122 were won.
