The FC Hermannstadt team defeated the Petrolul Ploiesti team 2-0 at home on Thursday, in a match from the sixth stage of the Super League.
The Sibians opened the scoring at home, in the 38th minute of the match with Petrolul, when Valerică Găman scored with a header. In the second half, the Ploiesti players had no more offensive claims and, in the 75th minute, Ianis Stoica established the final score of the match: 2-0 for Hermannstadt, who becomes the leader in the play-out, having the same number of points as UTA, 31, but a better goal difference. Petrol is in fifth place, with 26 points.
Hermannstadt, UTA and Oțelul are the first three teams that mathematically escaped relegation.
