Ioan Andone spends 6 months a year in Spain and made a comparison between Marbella, the city where he settled, and Bucharest.

Ioan Andone made a comparison between Spain and Romania

The former great footballer says that life is much cheaper in Spain than it is in Bucharest, something that surprised him in the Iberian land. Ioan Andone came up with exact figures and says that he feels very good in Spain, where there is an important community of Romanians.

“I live in Marbella, but I cannot exceed six months of staying there, because I have my tax residence in Romania. If they stay there, they come with double taxation. And I’m not like Ronaldo and those… That’s the law in Spain, I can control myself when I give my passport at the airport, at the bank account, so I don’t play. You can stay for more than 6 months only if you have a work contract or something, to have a business there.

In Spain, I spend less money than in Bucharest. It’s more expensive here! Sincere! Fees, taxes, electricity… With us, they pay 2,500 lei per month at the house. In Spain, I currently pay 210 euros per two months and I have four bedrooms at home. I have everything there, a lot of consumption: I have refrigerators, the air conditioning works, electric heaters. I’m out of gas, instead.

There are many Romanians there. There are 170,000 Romanians in Seville, Cadiz, Cordoba, Marbella and Malaga. It’s a very big community. A church is also built, funds are collected. An Orthodox church, with a Romanian Orthodox priest. I also went to work two or three times. I was curious. Until now, the Romanians rented one church at a time, but the vast majority are Catholic”, declared Ioan Andone, according to gsp.ro.
